Malibu...bu....bu

So, let me just tell you how God has the most amazing perfect timing. No joke. He knew exactly what I needed in going to Malibu right after coming back from Spain. He knew I needed that encouragement and overload of community that I lacked all year long. I don't think I have ever felt so encouraged in the direction I'm headed, although I don't really know where I'm headed but I have a trust that doors will be opened one way or another.

The main theme of my trip was relationships and the importance of community. I built so many amazing relationships that I want to keep for ever. Not only on my own summer staff team but the interns, program, and work staff. God just placed the most amazing people to connect with. They fed off of me and I fed off of them. What true community and really what the real world should look like. I think it was a huge encouragement to me as one of the program members turned to me on the boardwalk and told me "Hey Taryn, I've been hearing some good things about you, sounds like we need to get you up here on program!" I was literally awestruck. That was the last thing I expected. I have always dreamt of doing something like that but never thought someone else would think I could do it. That really meant a lot to me.

I could go on and on about how amazing it was but I will show some pictures and maybe that will try and show the amazingness of it all.

This is Josh and I before going to dinner. He's from B-ham....jealous!

If you notice here we are dressed quite oddly. The theme was holiday, sooo....I'm dressed up as mothers day and I'm clinging to my mother in this photo. Aren't we precious!!

This is Josie and I in the coffee shop. Josie was my partner in crime the whole month and we are amazing friends now!!

Rachel and I. Rach was on program and when we met, we hit it off from the start. She will definitely be one of my close friends. I love her to death!

Summer Staff hangin' out in the coffee shop at night. Yes, we coffee girls had some late night shifts.

Jo and I

This was at our dress-up dinner at the Goff's cabin. We had an amazing dinner prepared for us and a private concert by Brandon Heath. It was so amazing and relaxing!! A perfect time!

Summer Staff retail girls. This was on a slop run (throwing old food into the inlet) and they surprised us with a nice brunch and pedicures at the Goff cabin.

OK, here are some nice scenery pictures that you might enjoy
